Pengaruh Media Kartu Huruf Bergambar terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract
Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu huruf bergambar terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I UPTD SD Negeri 124397 Pematangsiantar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan literasi siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan 60% siswa belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP).
Metodologi – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen One Group Pretes-Postes Design. Sampel terdiri dari seluruh 20 siswa kelas I (total sampling). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes unjuk kerja membaca lisan yang mencakup lima aspek: lafal, kelancaran, kejelasan suara, intonasi, dan kepercayaan diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan Uji Paired Samples T-Test melalui SPSS Statistik 24.
Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 52,75 (pretest) menjadi 82,50 (posttest), peningkatan sebesar 29,75 poin. Uji Paired Samples T-Test menghasilkan = 17,698 > = 1,729 dengan Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima.
Kebaruan – Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa media kartu huruf bergambar terbukti secara signifikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I di Pematangsiantar, memberikan bukti empiris bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar.
Signifikansi – Penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi guru sekolah dasar, kepala sekolah, dan praktisi pendidikan yang mencari media pembelajaran berbasis bukti, berbiaya rendah, dan efektif untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan.
