Konten Pendek vs Fokus Panjang: Dilema Kognitif Mahasiswa di Era Digital

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan menonton video pendek di media sosial dengan rentang perhatian dan fokus belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei kuantitatif terhadap 34 mahasiswa Prodi Teknik Industri semester 3 dan 4. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner terstruktur yang berisi pertanyaan mengenai: pola penggunaan media sosial, dampak terhadap konsentrasi, serta strategi mahasiswa mengurai waktu di media sosial. Hasil penelitian pada pola penggunaan media sosial menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (70,6%) merupakan pengguna aktif aplikasi TikTok, dan sekitar 47% di antaranya menghabiskan waktu 3–4 jam setiap hari untuk menonton video. Sebanyak 41,2% mahasiswa berada pada kategori “sedang” dalam mengontrol waktu media sosial, dan 23,5% pada kategori “sering/sangat). Pada poin strategi mahasiswa dalam mengurai waktu di media sosial, sebanyak 47,1% mahasiswa menggunakan teknik manajeman waktu dalam menggunakan media sosial Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara intensitas menonton video pendek dengan penurunan fokus dan rentang perhatian mahasiswa. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya kemampuan regulasi diri agar mahasiswa dapat mengelola penggunaan media sosial secara lebih sehat.
