Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of the Journal of Literature, Language and Academic Studies (J-LLANS) must be:

  1. Written in English 
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 10 pages for a research paper.
  3. The article must include an abstract in English (100–250 words) and be followed by the keywords (3-5 words).
  4. Use of a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting.  The citation must be in the form of in-text and bibliography and based on APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association)
  5. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the J-LLANS paper template (paper template 2022become (paper template 2025and (title page)

Note: J-LLANS made changes to the template for 2025, will take effect if submitted from December 30, 2024

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested to present following the structure:

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research aims, method/model, and objective without acronyms or abbreviations.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 100 to 200 words; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objectiveresearch designmethodology, finding, novelty, and significance.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction – Method – Results and Discussion – Conclusion – Acknowledgement  - Reference: Appendix (optional) 
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 30 references, primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers with their DOIs or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English language editor (proofreader).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. The manuscript is free of plagiarism, has met the publication ethics, and isfully written in English.
  4. The manuscript has fulfilled the standardised format of the journal.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review  have been followed.
  7. Please read carefully the journal policy about Author Revision, APCs, and Withdrawal of Articles in the About the Journal session. The authors are considered to have agreed on the journal policies after submission
